I also highly recommend February 2012′s “MISOGI EP”. GRAPEVINE’s been around since 1995 and they’re still improving their sound; that’s pretty amazing.

Hey! I’ve got two wonderful little treats from Amarok here. LOST IN TIME has some soulful stuff, so give them a listen if you’re new to them!
I haven’t posted in a while, but I’ll get back in the game after a bit. I’m completely sucked into Skyrim now (a bit late, I know) and I can’t seem to find time to do anything else in between work >_>. I finally remembered STRAIGHTENER has a new album out as of last August, so I feel a stroke of inspiration coming on!

The Japanese name for this new track is actually derived from the Russian word for “energy”, “энергия”! Just a note for the curious.
Here we have a brand new track and a really old track, but I think we all know which is superior; they still have the sound, but lately they’re missing the art.

These wonderful little gems are from Amarok! If you haven’t heard of this band, you should really check them out! They have an inspiring amount of energy and their 2009 album “Second Narrow” has become my absolute favorite alternative album of ALL TIME. I’m not kidding, this is the stuff!

These are amazing displays of lyrical creativity, as expected from “amazarashi”! I’m pleased to have completed their mini-album, “アノミー (Anomie)”! Will hopefully go after the recently released “千年幸福論 (1,000 Years of Prosperity” when I find the time to analyse it closely~

The site’s theme looked a bit different to me after a recent update, so I decided to switch up the color scheme; change enough things to make it feel intentional :p. For some reason, the button dropdowns in the left navigation bar don’t seem to be working, though the settings are still intact. Will have to wait and see if it’s fixed. :S
In other news, I’m sure most people have heard about the recent breakup of Tokyo Jihen. To tell the truth, I didn’t expect the reason for their split to come out so obviously through their music; go listen to “COLOR BARS”, their parting album, and think for a second about what’s “different”…
And 2011′s “Daihakken” was so good too. >_>
