More BUMP OF CHICKEN! If Google/YouTube results mean anything, it seems to be their most searched for song. I’ve always been a fan, so it was a nice to take the opportunity to translate it!
Lyrics here: BUMP OF CHICKEN – カルマ (karuma) [Karma]
And a video for you!
In other news, some may have noticed that I have stopped including romanji with my new translations. For the moment, I plan to continue this trend. This does, however, remove a niche interest that some people may have, as well is impeding my sharing of lyrics with other sources. I suppose what I’m saying is that I’m “hiring”! If there is anyone who feels confident romanizing Japanese lyrics and has good enough resources to listen-check their work, I would love the assistance. You can reach me at thaerinzero(at)gmail.com! Without your help, romanji will remain in my to-do pile for the near and distant future, aka possibly forever lol.
I’ll be heading on vacation for a bit, so enjoy what’s here while I’m gone!
連絡先がthaerinzero(at)gmail.com！ あなたの手伝いがなければ、ローマ字を近未来、遠い未来… まあ、永遠に書かないかもしれませんね。ww
Hi all, more from GRAPEVINE today! This song is extremely mellow、but evoking, so tackle it in the right mood!
Lyrics: GRAPEVINE – SEA
I listen to this band so much, I just can’t help myself. The music video is so creepy-awesome too that I had to share it!
このバンドを聞きすぎて仕様がなくなっちゃった － PVは違和感のある所もあるが、単にすごい。

Here’s another from Mr.Children with an accompanying video for your perusal~
jpopsuki, while a private tracker, has released a video site that is open to the public! jpopsuki.tv is a great, reliable source of music videos, even if there are a great number of important bands still not being represented.
For now, enjoy the lyrics: and I love you
aaaaaand, a video: Mr.Children – and I love you
Really excited to add some THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT （ミッシェル・ガン・エレファント）, pretty much the best of the best in garage rock!
Check out the lyrics here: PINK
And give it a listen here: THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT – PINK
In other news, I had an idea; that idea is in the right hand corner, spitting out songs that I think everyone should hear!
I’ll also be putting some time into a recommended listening list, but am still working on an ideal format~
With my heavy interest in folk inspired music, I don’t know what’s taken me so long to post lyrics for Mr.Children. I hope to do a lot more as we move forward.
Here is: 過去と未来と交信する男 (kako to mirai to koushin suru otoko) [The Man Who Communes with the Past and Future]
We will be implementing a few changes as well as striving to generate more content for your viewing pleasure. The main function of this site exists as a hub of random access (via Google), but we’d like to eventually create content that encourages an active audience.
Recommendations welcome, of course! What would you like to see from two music obsessed individuals?
Writers block on some of my writing, so I decided to finally complete this! BUMP has a lot more lyrical content than most groups, when you think about it. Swear it must take me twice as long. They’re very creative to boot!

Let’s talk about bands that revisit their older material and explore it in new ways. I mean, we don’t really need to discuss it, but if you think about it, I would say this is one of the myriad marks of true musicianship. When a band displays their appreciation of their older productions, combining this with a concrete plan of improvement, it leads to a special opportunity to gauge their growth over the years.
STRAIGHTENER’s “STOUT”, released in 2011, is an entire album embodying said efforts. It’s quite an achievement!
I’ve posted a couple that appeared on this album already, but here are a few more,
If I may, I would like to introduce a new addition to LN. If you look above, there is now an English poetry section.
You could call it, “Lyrical Poetry”, or, “Poetic Nonsense”…
…but I prefer to call it, “When Normal Words Aren’t Engough”.
I hope everyone has been listening to “真昼のストレンジランド (mahiru no sutorenji rando) [Midday Strange Land]“.
I also highly recommend February 2012′s “MISOGI EP”. GRAPEVINE’s been around since 1995 and they’re still improving their sound; that’s pretty amazing.
